Cockroaches

Cockroaches are one of the most common pests in our homes as they favour similar living conditions to those that humans create. Cockroaches will eat almost any organic matter. They also breed very quickly creating severe infestations in a sort period of time if not treated correctly.

AdobeStock 213391117Cockroaches tend to be nocturnal and favour areas that have moisture, darkness, warmth as well as a food source. Signs to look for that cockroaches are present in your home or business, the presence of egg cases, faecal pellets and cast off nymphal (young cockroach) skin. Cockroaches will thrive in dirty, unclean environments however clean, hygienic premises will not preclude cockroaches from being present as any scrap of food, dirty dishes or rubbish will attract them.

The Reason you don't want Cockroaches in your home or Business:

AdobeStock 293665786The big problem with cockroaches is their ability to spread diseases. The fact that they live and move throughout sewers, drains and garbage, brings them into contact with disease organisms such as salmonella which may cause gastroenteritis, dysentery, tuberculosis, hepatitis and typhoid fever. They can also carry viruses.

Control and Treatment of Cockroaches around your Home or Business

Inspection

A thorough inspection of the premises is undertaken by a Perimeter Pest Control technician to locate any form of cockroach activity. Sighting of cockroaches as well as evidence of their activity such as faecal droppings, skin shedding etc will give us information as to the degree of infestation present.

Treatment

Perimeter Pest Control have at our disposal, a range of dedicated liquid treatments, gels and dusts to eliminate cockroaches. These treatments are quite long lasting and quite harmless to mammals (humans and pets), but are lethal to cockroaches. Where sprays are not practical, such as around electrical wiring, we would then use a permethrin dust or gel to eliminate all cockroaches.

As mentioned earlier, cockroaches do present a danger to you and your family or your business and employees so if you have any queries, or would like further information on the elimination of cockroaches, please contact us on 0427 571 447

Testimonials

From my wife's perspective, as a woman, they were very respectful and informative. They fill her in on everything and don’t treat her like "well you’re just a woman, who cares, and ring me". They leave her with all the information verbally and she tells me when I come home from work. It’s a major plus.

Testimonials

I've dealt with a lot of pest companies in the past. Some large organisations and some sole traders. I found them (Perimeter) easier to deal with, faster to respond. In that regard, it made more sense for me to work with them. I asked for quotes from some larger organisations and they didn’t even provide the quote on time.

- Rob Anderson , Persephone Investments

Testimonials

I would recommend them to anyone. They are thorough, honest and do the right job. They are informative, they give you all the information that you could possibly need. And they always, always communicate with me well whether it is via email or text.
